Video Blooper! Did Karan Johar accidentally reveal the release date of his ambitious period-drama Takht as December 2020?

It was in August last year that Karan Johar announced his ambitious period-drama Takht, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Although it has been a while since then, the film has not gone on floors yet. In fact, several media reports recently suggested that the multi-starrer has been either delayed or shelved. However, the ace filmmaker dismissed all rumours as he started the preparation for Takht as he returned to Mumbai after celebrating his 47th birthday in New York. Sharing a video on his Instagram story, he captioned it as, "TAKHT PREP," featuring him taking a walk at his Dharma Productions office in Mumbai.

Interestingly, in the video, Karan zoomed into the first poster of Takht, which was hanging on one of the white walls and it mentioned the release date as December 2020. Well, that's interesting and it seems, KJo accidentally revealed the date of his much-anticipated project.

Meanwhile, speaking to a leading daily, Karan further confirmed that the much-awaited film will go on floors by the end of this year. In fact, we hear that the shoot will begin as soon as Ranveer and Vicky get free from the respective professional commitments. Talking about the project, Karan maintained, "It is challenging but also exhilarating. I’ve never made a period film and I want to do my interpretation of that world and syntax. I need to give it my slant, my energy. I am hugely nervous but also excited."

Well, we are certainly looking forward to this one!
