Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen shared a happy news recently when she announced the engagement of her brother Rajeev Sen with television actress Charu Asopa. In fact, she shared a picture of herself and beau Rohman Shawl along with the much-in-love couple. Now Rajeev, who feels one doesn't really take a ‘plunge’ when it comes to a decision on marriage, opened up about his wedding details. During an interview with a leading daily, he revealed that the couple will first do a court marriage on June 7 followed by a destination wedding in Goa on June 16. Hearing this, Charu quipped, "The theme of the wedding is ‘Royal traditional’ so everything will be in that style. Functions will be engagement on 14th, followed by sangeet and mehendi on June 15 and haldi and wedding on June 16. We are getting married in both Bengali and Rajasthani style and rituals as Rajeev is a Bengali and I am a Rajasthani.”
When Rajeev was further prodded why stays away from the limelight, the businessman stated, “I have always been a very private person, I value my privacy but having said that I have had my own share of limelight," thereby revealing what made him rush into marriage with Charu, “I was very sure this is the right time to do it , in other words my heart & mind were fully ready for it.. she is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me."
For those caught unaware, there were rumours that Sushmita wasn’t happy with Rajeev’s relationship with Charu. However, Rajeev dismissed all such rumours and said, “Rumours will always be rumours, this has been a part of our life since many years. We have always sweetly ignored it with a smile. My sister is extremely fond of Charu and I couldn’t be more happier!” He further mentioned that his sister has been working day and night to make things happen, “My sister is the most excited for my wedding with Charu. She has been working very hard day and night to make things happen, as we don’t have much time at all. June 16 could only happen because of my sister , mom and dad. It’s never easy to do things at the last minute. I am very blessed."
Last but not the least, Charu too showered love on her future sister-in-law and concluded by saying, “She is a beautiful person inside out and has been very loving and respectful. Jitni khoobsurat who baahar se hain, uss se kahin zyada woh ek khoobsurat insaan hai. I feel very lucky and blessed to have her as my sister-in-law."
