The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is now finally airing much to the relief as well as dismay of the fans who are loathe to see the series end. The internet is full of fan theories on who will eventually sit on the Iron Throne with many people suggesting that it will eventually get destroyed by a dragon.
Now, looking at the brouhaha over the final season, Amul has come up with an extremely punny topical on GOT. The topical advertisement has the caption, “Fame of Thrones” and shows Daenerys Targaryen as the Amul girl watching the series on a laptop. The caption at the bottom of the advertisement is extremely intelligent and is a play on the word ‘dinner’. It reads, “Daenery’s served” taking in Daenery’s name as well as dinner in the same breath.
Game of Thrones is based on George RR Martin's popular fantasy novel series called Song of Ice and Fire. It stars Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and several others. A few days back even Martin was lamenting on the fact of GOT’s ending and had said that he does not want the series to end. Game of Thrones gained widespread popularity and became a part of popular culture with fans waiting eagerly and impatiently for every season.
