Watch: Priyanka’s Kanauj-Red lehenga has husband Nick Jonas’ full name embroidered

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married on December 1 and 2 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in the presence of their family and friends. They tied the knot in two wedding ceremonies which honoured both their diverse backgrounds and different religions. Priyanka and Nick first walked down the aisle in a white Christian wedding where the bride and groom were dressed in Ralph Lauren outfits. For the Hindu wedding PeeCee and Nick chose Sabyasachi over other Indian designers.

Today, Sabyasachi on his Instagram page shared details and the making of Priyanka’s breathtakingly beautiful Kanauj-Red lehenga. Unlike other actors who chose to wear red and gold or pastel for their wedding, Priyanka chose an all red lehenga which was an active “collaboration between the designer and the bride”. The highpoint of the lehenga was that it was embroidered and personalized for Priyanka as it bears Nick’s official full name ‘Nicholas Jerry Jonas’.

Isn’t that breathtakingly beautiful? Kudos to the bride and the designer who managed to create such a masterpiece but at the same time made it extra special for Priyanka. Priyanka’s and Nick’s wedding was a collaboration and “mash-up” of two different cultures but the best part was the way they made the entire wedding special for themselves by choosing and incorporating words and names of their parents into their wedding outfits.
