One of the biggest celebrity weddings which are no less than a royal wedding is about to take place at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas get married. Amidst heavy security and strict protocols which includes a, no mobile phone clause guests made their way to the mehendi and sangeet ceremonies of the betrothed couple day-before-yesterday and yesterday respectively. Even though there are no photographs of the pre-wedding festivities here are all the details from Priyanka’s and Nick’s sangeet ceremony.
Last night, Priyanka and Nick hosted a sangeet ceremony which was attended by their family and friends. Superwoman Lilly Singh, Yasmine Al Massri, Jonathan Tucker, Mimi Cuttrell and Mukesh Ambani with his wife Nita Ambani, daughter Isha Ambani, son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were also present at the ceremony.

The families of Priyanka and Nick were divided into two teams where they each got to dance and perform with music and dance and showed their own version of how the couple met and how their love blossomed. Apparently, there was a competition between the ladkiwales and the ladkewalas. It was a gala evening although there was no word out about who won the closely contested competition.

Reportedly, Nick performed on the song Boom Diggy Diggy from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and on Tune Maari Entriyaan from PeeCee's Gunday. He also performed with his band. Nick’s elder brothers Kevin and Joe also took to the stage and enthralled the audience with one peppy number after another.

The sangeet ceremony was reportedly choreographed by Ganesh Hegde. We are sure Priyanka’s sisters Parineeti Chopra and Mannara Chopra also must have set the stage on fire. The music at the function catered to both Indian and American numbers.

A pop-up closet full of ethnic Indian wear was also organized at the venue for guests to shop from. Yasmine Al Massri and Lilly wished the couple all the best for a happy married life at the wishing well that was kept at the venue.

After the gala sangeet ceremony, the guests were served with royal dinner that was served in ‘antique silver cutlery’ that was used by the royal family of the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Vintage cars were used for the pick-and-drop of guests and they were welcomed with drums and flowers and were received by Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra.

Priyanka received her guests before the sangeet ceremony in a peach-coloured ensemble. It was not only wedding shenanigans on the mind of Nick who also took to the sprawling fields of the Palace to play a game of cricket with his brothers and friends. The two will be tying the knot soon in a Hindu and Christian wedding. Priyanka will wear Sabyasachi for her Hindu wedding while for her Christian vows she will don a specially made wedding gown by Ralph Lauren.
