Ahead of her wedding to Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra revealed during an interview with foreign media that the American singer made the first move and sent her a text message, saying that he is of the opinion that they connect well. Conversations, hence, took off. The couple made their first public appearance together at the MET Gala in 2017.
“I actually didn’t make the first move -- he did. He texted me. The first time was a text and just saying, ‘I think we should connect,’ and whatever and that’s how we started talking,” Priyanka told leading Hollywood website Entertainment Tonight.

During the interview, Priyanka also said that she hasn’t been happier and is very excited about her relationship. "This is such a wonderful new step in my life and I'm still getting used to it because it's obviously been a whirlwind and I haven't seen myself happier. Just being in the whole situation of finding somebody who can be a partner to you in so many more ways than one is amazing, so yes I'm very excited," Priyanka added.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old actress’ team hosted a bridal shower for her in New York on October 28 while pictures from the celebration surfaced on social media.

Priyanka and Nick haven’t announced the date of their wedding so far but are reportedly getting married in Jodhpur in December. After weeks of speculation surrounding their affair, the couple formalised their relationship with a roka ceremony at her residence in Mumbai on August 18 in the presence of close friends and family.
Workwise, Priyanka is busy with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar. The movie is filming in London.
