Has Aamir Khan returned to Gulshan Kumar biopic Mogul after Subhash Kapoor's exit?

In wake of the recent #MeToo movement, Aamir Khan had distanced himself from Mogul, a biopic on the life of late music baron Gulshan Kumar, after the film’s director Subhash Kapoor was accused of sexual misconduct by actress Geetika Tyagi. The actor's exit as the joint producer of the project led T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar to take action and he dropped Subhash from the project altogether. And now we he hear that after the director's exit, Aamir is back on board for the much-ambitious project.

A leading daily quoted a source close to the development as saying, "The script is close to Aamir and he wants to make the film. Bhushan and he have had a number of meetings since and decided to collaborate on Mogul again. The hunt is on for another director. They are also looking at finalising the cast so they can roll with the film, asap." Moreover, it is touted that the Thugs of Hindostan actor could play Gulshan Kumar himself.

Well, we certainly are excited to know that Aamir has made his return to Mogul.

For the unversed, Aamir along with wife Kiran Rao had issued a joint statement saying that his production house has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and misconduct and pointed out that he has decided to not go ahead with the big project. Subhash, on the other hand, said that he respected Aamir's decision and will prove his innocence in court and get justice.
