Tanushree to record her statement with Mumbai Police tomorrow on the Nana harassment case

Tanushree Dutta who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and intimidation on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss has started India’s #MeToo movement. Her allegations have jolted Bollywood out of its reverie and made many celebrities come out in support of her and talk about the sexual harassment and unsafe work environment that is prevalent for actresses and newcomers. Now Tanushree, who had already filed a police complaint, will have her statement recorded tomorrow.

Mumbai Police will be recording her statement on the entire controversy tomorrow at Oshiwara station. An ACP rank officer has been deployed to record her statement. Her lawyers are allowed to accompany her to the Police Station, but the recording of her statement will be one-on-one.

Tanushree’s claims have been refuted by Nana and choreographer Ganesh Acharya who was the choreographer of the special song that she was supposed to do for the film. However, Tanushree’s claims have been vouched by a senior journalist Janice Sequeira and the assistant director of the film Shyni Shetty who were eyewitnesses to the entire fiasco. They supported Tanushree on social media and said that the actress has been telling the truth and recounted the entire episode the same way it happened 10 years back.
