Anushka-Kangana break down on meeting Janhvi-Kushi after Sridevi's funeral

The news of late Sridevi's death came as rude shock to many. The actress, who passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018, saw who's who of Bollywood mourning her loss and visiting her family members to pay their last respects.

A few who were missing at the prayer meet made sure to drop by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's residence later. Amongst them were Anushka Sharma who came with her husband Virat Kohli, and Kangana Ranaut, who visited the Kapoors late Sunday evening. As per our sources, both the actresses broke down on meeting Sri's girls, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

Our sources state that hours before her untimely demise, Sridevi made a call to her daughters and asked them to respect their work & time and to be professional. As Janhvi and Khushi narrated this last incident to Anushka, she broke down and her husband Virat was seen consoling her. While the couple was making their way out, Kangana walked in. On seeing a photo frame of the late actress in the living room, she became teary-eyed.

Earlier Kangana has expressed how important Sridevi's role was in her life. Recently in an interview with a leading daily, she mentioned, "When I’d dress up for cultural shows, my great grandmother would fondly call me Sridevi. Years later, when I returned home exhausted after a long day, I’d watch her Charlie Chaplin sequence and the Kaatey Nahin Katate song from Mr. India and marvel that it was the same woman in both. She was such a childlike soul whose loss I feel deeply." She further added, "She is so alive..can't believe Sri ji is has passed away".

The actresses were unable to attend their funeral and the prayer meet arranged by the family because of their prior work commitments. While Anushka has been busy shooting for next film, Sui Dhaaga, Kangana was occupied with the shoot for her period-drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
