India Couture Week 2020 Day 4: Reynu Taandon’s ‘Surkh’ presents modern and minimalist bridal couture with a traditional twist!

Putting technology to its best use, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has brought to us the first-ever digital edition of the India Couture Week 2020. So far this virtual soiree has been high on glamour and safe to say, the Day 4 didn’t disappoint us either.

Unveiling her bridal collection ‘Surkh’ in the form of a fashion film, designer Reynu Taandon presented us with a blend of modern and minimalistic pieces with a traditional twist.

This collection derived inspiration from a contemporary bride who re-conceives fashion fusing both the worlds together. This ten-minute presentation unleashed a riot of colours ranging from serene whites to blood reds and fuchsia pinks.

Bold and traditional prints with Gota Patti work, delicate embellishments, intricate zardosi and threadwork as well as rich motifs elevated the look of her collection.

Peplum kurta, floor-length anarkali, intricately detailed lehenga along with embellished drapes formed the major part of her collection.

Statement jewels from Archana Aggarwal gave a regal touch to the contemporary bridal pieces. While the background music along with a palatial setup added to the aesthetics of the presentation.

Staying true to her USP, Reynu’s Surkh is made for every contemporary bride-to-be who wishes to carry traditions in her own modern way.
