Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani are a testimony to the fact that there are true friendships in the showbiz world too. The producer and actor-turned-politician go a long way back and have known each other for more than 18 years and share a special bond with each other. With Ekta Kapoor’s television serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti became a household name at the same time because of her popularity and impeccable performance in the show Ekta also became the top producer on TV.
Today, on Smriti’s 43rd birthday, Ekta penned a heartfelt note for her soul sister. Sharing a picture with Smriti, Ekta wrote, “To my soul sister! Ur one of d loveliest ppl I know ! Although I know nothing about politics I know one thing ...u stand up for wats right n fight for anyone who is marginalised by society! Smriti was one of the first people to pay a visit to Ekta when she became a mother to a baby boy through surrogacy. Smriti is currently a part of active politics and is the Union Minister for Textile. She is gearing up for General Elections 2019 while Ekta is happily basking in the newfound joys of motherhood. We wish Smriti a very happy birthday, although no wish can be better than Ekta's.
