KWK 6: Amitabh Bachchan loved Manmarziyaan so much that he 'wept' while watching Abhishek on screen, Shweta reveals

Amitabh Bachchan watched his son Abhishek Bachchan's comeback film Manmarziyaan and loved it to an extent, that he actually wept, Shweta Bachchan revealed on Karan Johar's celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan 6. After 2016’s Housefull 3, Abhishek made a comeback with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan in 2018.

"I recently saw Manmarziyaan with him (Amitabh Bachchan) and he couldn't speak. He was crying from the preview. He was so emotional. He couldn't speak. So, I told him that should I dial Abhishek, and you want to tell him this. Because I knew this would mean the world to Abhishek. And he said I can't speak to him," Shweta said on KWK 6.

"I was in Bangalore and Shweta Di called me and said, 'Pa wants to speak to you.' So, I was like, Oh God. And Papa said, I can't talk to you right now and I'll speak to you later," Abhishek said as Shweta added, "But he was weeping and he isn't a weeper."
