In the wake of #MeToo allegations, several celebrities like Nana Patekar, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Zain Khan Durrani, Subhash Ghai, and several others have been named as sexual harassers.

In this list, Bhushan Kumar’s name was also added. A Twitter user had accused Bhushan of propositioning her on the pretext of signing a three-film contract. However, the filmmaker has denied all such allegations and issued a statement today.

Bhushan Kumar's statement

It was Tanushree Dutta who started the entire movement when she came out and accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss. Since then with her stance and courage, many women have come forward to share their ordeal and name, shame and blame their perpetrators. However, in the deluge of #MeToo tweets, there have been some which are questionable and looks as if they are fabricated. However, keeping an open mind, let's hope that the real miscreants do get penalized for their horrendous behaviour and the women get the justice that is due to them.
