Box Office: Vicky Kaushal's 'Bhoot: The Haunted Ship' remains on a steady pace; Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' is unstoppable

Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh. The film features Vicky along with Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana. It has been claimed that the film is based on a true incident that took place in Mumbai, and it tells the story of a couple on an abandoned ship on a beach.

On Wednesday (day 6), the film collected Rs 1.85 crore, taking the total numbers to Rs 22.63 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers, "#Bhoot Fri 5.10 cr, Sat 5.52 cr, Sun 5.74 cr, Mon 2.32 cr, Tue 2.10 cr, Wed 1.85 cr. Total: 22.63 cr. #India biz."

On the other hand, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, which opened on February 21, stars Ayushmann and debutant Jitendra Kumar in a small town setup, and also features the Badhaai Ho pair of Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. The film is written and directed by debutant Hitesh Kewalya. On its sixth day, the film witnessed a sudden drop in numbers and raked in just Rs 2.62 crore. The total collection of the film now stand at Rs 42.22 crore.

Clearly, Ayushmann starrer has raced past ahead of Vicky's film at the box office.
