The Sajid Nadiadwala-Fox Star Studios comedy caper Housefull 4, that some critics had unkindly written off last week, bounced back with renewed vigour and made an astonishing collection of Rs. 34.56 crore yesterday. The strong comeback of the Akshay Kumar Diwali release promoted trade analyst Komal Nahta to tweet, “Extraordinary… actually, super-extraordinary jump in collections of Housefull 4 on Monday. Almost seems like Friday, Saturday and Sunday were paid preview days.”

But it is true, the Day 4 collection of the fourth film in the popular Bollywood comedy franchise was huge. It took the total collections of Housefull 4 to a very encouraging Rs. 87.78 crore yesterday. The country still being in the Diwali festive spirit, and today being a partial holiday for Bhai Dooj, Bollywood trade pundits are predicting that Housefull 4 will tighten its grip at the box office today and cross the Rs. 100 crore mark.

Moreover, there being no major Bollywood release this Friday except for the controversial Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman, and Drive on Netflix, Housefull 4 looks set to gallop through the week and make bigger inroads at the box office. Housefull 4 has earned the highest single-day collection for a comedy film and has surpassed Golmaal Again of 2017 which grossed Rs. 30.10 crore on its release day. Whereas for Housefull 4, it was the fourth day.

Total collection: 87.78 cr
Housefull 4 also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in key roles.
