Sushant Singh Rajput's and Shraddha Kapoor's Chhichhore hits a century at the box office; Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl continues to mint money

Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore has created havoc at the box office ever since it hit the silver screens. The much-loved film continues to do well in its second week despite facing competition from Dream Girl. The Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer collected Rs 4.02 crore on Monday, followed by Rs 4.11 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it minted Rs 3.30 crore, thus crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. On Thursday, the film raked in Rs 3.51 crore, taking the total box office collections to Rs 109.30.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers, "#Chhichhore concludes Week 2 on a glorious note... Trends better than several biggies released in 2019... [Week 2] Fri 5.34 cr, Sat 9.42 cr, Sun 10.47 cr, Mon 4.02 cr, Tue 4.11 cr, Wed 3.60 cr, Thu 3.51 cr. Total: 109.30 cr. #India biz."

On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl is enjoying a dream run at the box office and crossed Rs 50-crore mark on Monday (September 16). Now on its day 7, the film has emerged as Ayushmann's highest Week 1 grosser by collecting Rs 6.05 crore, taking the total collections to Rs 72.20. Clearly, the film will cross the Rs 75 crore mark at the start of its second week.

It would be rather interesting to see how Chhichhore and Dream Girl get affected with The Zoya Factor, starring Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan, releasing today.
