'My mother got a Bigg Boss themed cake on my 17th birthday,' confesses Ananya Panday on her obsession with the Salman Khan hosted show

Bigg Boss, despite being one of the most controversial shows on Indian television, remains to be a favourite with many. A guilty pleasure for the audience, the Salman Khan hosted show enjoys a massive fan following, not just in public, but in Bollywood too. Well, yes. Ananya Panday, who recently made an appearance on Bigg Boss 13 to promote her upcoming film Pati, Patni Aur Woh with her co-stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, confessed to watching the show religiously during an interview with a media agency. The actress further revealed that her mother got her a Bigg Boss themed cake on her 17th birthday. Talking about her visit to Bigg Boss 13, Ananya told that she was overwhelmed to see Salman in real. 

I think this is one of the shows that my mom and I bond over. In fact, my mother got a Bigg Boss themed cake on my 17th birthday because I was so obsessed with the show. I am one of those obsessed fans who ask everyone to keep quiet when the show comes on TV. So, finally when I went to Bigg Boss 13 for Pati Patni Aur Woh promotions, I was so much in awe I couldn’t speak much. I was like, is this for real? I was overwhelmed to see Salman Khan sir in real life! I was like…am I really here on the set of Bigg Boss, a show that I have seen so many years?” Ananya told.

Pati, Patni Aur Woh is the remake of B R Chopra's 1978 released film by the same name, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeet Kaur. The original revolved around an extra-marital affair where an office going, married man (Sanjeev) falls in love with his secretary (Ranjeeta). In order to grow closer to her, he lies that his wife (Vidya) is terminally ill. Soon, his wife smells something fishy and spies on him. It's when the truth is out before both the women, hells breaks loose for the lead actor. In the new version, Kartik plays the role of 'pati' Chintu Tyagi, Bhumi is 'patni' Vedika Tripathi and Ananya is the glamorous 'woh' named Tapasya. It is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Juno, T-Series and B.R Films. Pati, Patni Aur Woh is scheduled to release on December 6, 2019.
